Sermons of Brother Peter O'Handley 2026,08.02

Sunday Morning Bible Class

SUBJECT:

Several years pass before Nathan appears again. By this time David had firmly consolidated his kingdom, defeating every nation bold enough to lift a sword against him. With Joab commanding the army, David chose to remain at home rather than go out to battle against the Ammonites (a decision that would alter his life forever.) What followed is well known, and for any unfamiliar with the tragic events involving Bath sheba and her husband Uriah the Hittite, the account is recorded in 2 Samuel 11.

Rumors may have circulated through the palace, but only a handful knew the truth. David and Bath sheba lived each day under the weight of guilt, hoping the shame would somehow fade. David later wrote, “For day and night THY Hand was heavy upon me” Psalm 32:4. Like the persistent ache of broken bones or an unrelenting thirst, David longed to be cleansed, purged, and washed. But this cleansing never comes for David or for any true Christian until the heart breaks and the spirit bows low before the HOLINESS and RIGHTEOUSNESS of GOD in genuine, godly sorrow. Only then, in the righteous act of repentance, does restoration begin.

Sunday Morning Sermon

SUBJECT:

While Scripture is clear that “God is love” 1 John 4:16, it is equally clear that GOD is HOLY, RIGHTEOUS, JEALOUS, and JUST—the JUDGE of the universe to whom all will give account. Our feel-good culture of positive thinking may not like to talk about negative truthful things like DEATH or HELL, but GOD’S WORD has much to say about it. Try walking leaning only to the left, what happens, you just go in circles, it is the same but only Eternally Dangerous, the same way that your only view of GOD is that HE is LOVE, it sounds good but if your religious life is built on just “GOD is love”, that means you have No Spiritual Discernment, you have No Biblical Understanding, that means You Are Not Saved.

You cannot believe the parts of the Bible you like and completely ignore the rest – with the LORD GOD it is the whole and complete Bible or it is Damnation. The GOD you claim and follow that is love only, I can assure you that is NOT the GOD of the BIBLE and comes from your own mind, for the GOD of Love only is fake, a lie, and demon inspired and you are being led by the Devil to your own damnation.

A couple of years ago there was a controversy surrounding the lyrics of the song “In Christ Alone” Those compiling a PC (USA) hymnal wanted to remove the line “the wrath of God was satisfied” in favor of “the love of God was magnified.” Exalting GOD’S Love to the exclusion of GOD’S Wrath does the opposite of what it seeks to accomplish: it avoids the True Doctrines of the BIBLE (this is bad news) and makes the rest of the WORD of GOD optional. This is being spiritually out of balance; this is the beginning of the delusion from Satan.

This is one reason why starting Gospel presentations with “God loves you” can be very unhelpful. Well, of course God loves me, many in our culture might think. I’m pretty special. Then they become more certain of closing themselves off to hearing and embracing the Gospel that rescues them from GOD’S WRATH.

Today’s church is a very, very, very long way from her HEAD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, it is terrifying see what is happening in the church today, Sensuousness, Semi-Nudity, Vulgarity, Wickedness, Worldliness, Self-Centered, Ungodliness, Unholiness, Defiance of GOD and HIS WORD, flesh in exalted and GOD is hated, emotion is king and GOD’S standard is rejected.

Sunday Morning Bible Class

SUBJECT:

The Provision of Redemption

Redemption was determined in ETERNITY past: - John 17:24 “Father, I will that they also, whom THOU hast given ME, be with ME where I AM; that they may behold MY GLORY, which THOU hast given ME: for THOU lovedst ME before the Foundation of the World.” Realize Brethren, that before the Earth and the Universe were created by GOD, with but HIS HOLY WORD, Hebrews 9:26 “For then must HE often have suffered since the Foundation of the World: but now once in the end of the world hath He appeared to put away sin by the Sacrifice of Himself.” We stand here today because of GOD!

Redemption was accomplished on CALVARY’S CROSS. - Ephesians 1:7 “In whom we have Redemption through HIS BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins, according to the Riches of HIS Grace;” Therefore, our Redemption was accomplished only by the Blood of the LORD JESUS and HIS death on the Cross, Colossians 1:20 “And, having made Peace through the Blood of HIS Cross, by HIM to Reconcile all things unto HIMSELF; by HIM, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in Heaven.”

When CHRIST died, HE died for all our sins. - 2 Corinthians 5:21 "For HE hath made HIM to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the Righteousness of GOD in HIM." And CHRIST again in, 2 Corinthians 5:15 “And that HE died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto HIM which died for them, and ROSE AGAIN.”

Sunday Morning Sermon

Some History on Blurring

There has always been a persistent tendency in Israel to copy the wicked pagan practices of the nations around them. It was not typically an open rejection of JEHOVAH GOD, but rather a subtle blending of heathen vile customs with the worship of the True GOD. Throughout Israel’s history the Prophets lifted their voices against this drift, reminding the people that they were called to be distinct a holy nation set apart from the surrounding world. We true Christian are to do the same, we are IN the world but NOT OF the world!

The church has faced the same deep seated tendency. The HOLY GHOST through the Apostle Paul cries aloud today, will you hear HIM? This very moment with absolute Holy authority: “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the LORD, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you” 2 Corinthians 6:17. Yet after the first century, many churches began to conform to the world, [Romans 12:2 “And be NOT conformed to this world: but be ye Transformed by the Renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that Good, and Acceptable, and Perfect, Will of GOD.”] Conforming to the world by adopting pagan practices into their worship and doctrine. This corruption accelerated after the rise of Constantine and the legalization of Christianity. (Only unsaved man and some Christians believes they can place GOD inside a box.)

Though he favored the church politically only, never spiritually, Constantine was NOT a true believer, and his import helped create doubt of Holy Scripture by adding his own falsely called Bible, with false teaching, Scripture verses removed, changed, to align with the system that Rome uses and Pagan worship mix in with the hymns of the Church to suit the Roman religious system. Rome is our Spiritual enemy, be not deceived.

By the time of the Reformation, the Gospel of GOD’S Grace lay buried beneath layers of Devil inspired false teachings and the heavy use of ritualism and distorted church dogma. Salvation had come to be viewed as a lifelong effort to keep religious rules, followed by a stay in Purgatory to atone for remaining sins. Let me stop here and expand of this vile and horrible Roman Doctrine of PURGATORY, it completely makes the work of our LORD JESUS CHRIST on Calvary’s Cross worthless, for the fools that believe this rank lie from the Devil, when Romanists die, they go to Purgatory which is another HELL, where for a indeterminate amount of time these fools must burn off the rest of their sins! Why? Because their hatred of CHRIST and HIS Glorious Redemption, they made this foul evil lie, Purgatory since the BLOOD of CHRIST was insufficient to clean ALL sins according to Roman popes and lower leadership. The German Dominican friar Johann Tetzel famously used the catchy vile and horrid jingle: "As soon as the coin in the coffer rings, the soul from purgatory springs."

• The Purpose: Tetzel was appointed grand commissioner for indulgences in Germany to raise funds for rebuilding St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and to help pay off local church debts.

• The Pitch: He traveled from town to town urging people to buy indulgences not only for their own future and past sins but specifically to release the suffering souls of deceased relatives from the fires of purgatory.

The True Gospel survived only in small, scattered pockets of genuine believers. You are NEVER alone, it may feel like you swimming up a flood but GOD controls ALL things, hear ye the LORD .
